Although I grew up in the 80's and 90's suffering through sleepless nights largely because of film adaptations of Stephen's book, I was never a fan until recently. "On Writing" changed that. I have been an aspiring writer since I first learned to write (also in the 80's) and found "On Writing" motivating. It has changed my writing life.
After finishing "On Writing", I decided I really should read more of Stephen's books, so I got a copy of "The Outsider" from the library. I am over halfway through it and enthralled. "Desperation" is currently on the hold shelf with my name on it, so I'm in a frenzy to finish "The Outsider". Luckily it is a task I find easily done.
I'm excited to be apart of this message board, I've never joined and author's board before (how many have these?). I signed up because "On Writing" contains within it's pages a writing prompt and Stephen suggests that once any would-be writer finishes it that they go onto his website and email it to him. I assume things have changed since the book was published because of course his email is not on the site, but there is this. My only question is, for now, can I share here some place?
Can't wait to discuss and get to know you all better.
