Luv horror generally but Stephen King is best. Read everything I can lay hands on. Should read slower, I'd be able to enjoy them for longer.
Nick is often used as a character name in SK books [he usually dies]. I read something he'd written about the origin of some characters but can't remember where. Does anyone know who Nick's namesake is? Thanks.

...Nick was probably a red shirt Ensign on Star Trek as well....you know who's about to buy the farm if they're wearing a red shirt in a landing party...

...and as to your question-I don't know the origin of using the name "Nick"...sometimes I believe, it was just something culled from a phone book....

Hi and thanks for your replies. Sorry it's taken me so long, having trouble with devices and trying to navigate my daughter's phone.

Welcome to the board, and I cannot answer the question. Tech is kind of tough to get a hang of these days. My son could probably dance circles around me until I learn the device. I just got a smart phone and my lady gets a giggle now and then from watching try to work the phone.
