I took a hiatus too - I think it was those 2 late in life babies I had. I didn't mean to stop reading, I just couldn't stay awake and read anymore. I stopped somewhere around From a Buick 8 and jumped back on at Lisey's Story.

Wow - almost 62% so far in the 27 to 30 years category - (I have actually been a fan for around 40 years) - I started young!
I think I was 12 or 13 and I'm 48 now, so 35-36 yrs 
The only author I think I've loved longer (that I still read) is Louisa May Alcott.

I took a few years off in the 80s, then "rediscovered" his writing around the time he wrote 11/22/63 which is one of my favourites. I think in the mid 80s I got all wrapped up in other things and put reading aside, which is a shame. I started reading again in the early 90s but for some reason did not seek out any King titles.
