This is november. In Sweden. All trees ought to be leaffree. And it ought to be cold. But since it today is 13C out. much warmer than usual this time of year, some leafes are still left on some trees. They say it soon will be real cold but so far it has been a warm autumn here. It is mostly cloudy but the short time the daylight are there makes you think that if you blink you miss it.

It was rainy and cold on Halloween night, so only 8 trick and or treaters showed up. Damn! What do we do with all the leftover goodies???

Oh and there was icing sugar like dusting of snow all over everything Saturday morning.

Did you get the high winds yesterday, EMARX? We lost power for a few hours in the morning.....

I'll take the candy.......;;D

Was supposed to snow here yesterday, but we dodged that bullet (well, the mountains didn't, but not much fell down below the foothills). Cold, though--The Man got the furnace going yesterday. Spent a lot of the day with frozen hands from putting the gardens to bed (clearing the last tomatoes, tomatillos, carrots, and herbs), and from standing outside, staring up at our trees with trimming estimators. Three big elms to be trimmed to 14' above street level; it appears it's going to take a butt-ton (technical term, you know ;) ) of $ to have it done. Not thrilled about that.

School is two hours delayed thanks to the snow on Friday night/all day Saturday.

Wimps. Don't you people have snowplows down there?;;D

Official snowfall for Bangor was 14.5". A lot of people without power but we lucked out. No internet service so have to use my iPad which will make moderating slow but not impossible. Waaaaay too early for this crap.

It's one of those wet, heavy snowstorms so lots of trees and branches down. I'm hoping it will warm up enough for this to melt off in a few days so we don't have this to add to more snow between now and next spring.

I probably shouldn't tell you that most of the woolly worms are mostly black, with only a small band of brown in the middle......or that there were 22 fogs in August.....or.......
