Flood Statement

A river flood warning remains in effect for the Cypress Creek...East Fork San Jacinto...Peach Creek...San Jacinto River Persons are urged to stay away from the river until water levels recede. Motorists should avoid any water covered roads and find an alternate route. Livestock and equipment should remain out of the flood plain for the next few days. Stay tuned to NOAA Weather radio or other news sources for further updates.The Flood Warning continues for The San Jacinto River Near Sheldon * from Thursday evening to Monday afternoon...or until the warning is canceled. * At 0920 PM Wednesday the stage was 9.0 feet. * Minor flooding is forecast. * Flood stage is 10.0 feet. * Forecast...Rise above flood stage by tomorrow late evening and continue to rise to near 11.3 feet by Saturday evening. The river will fall below flood stage by early Monday morning.

It's been raining in Kelowna for 3 days! Supposed to clear tomorrow and 36degC (97degF) Going to walk up to City Park and see if the storm left any of the roses
in tact in the Rose Garden. Want some pictures of them.

Beautiful day today! Firsat this summer and spring. About time. I have actually seen people in shorts and t-shirts for the first time. Temp over 20C and sunny. Why do i have this sneaking suspicion that the weather is only fooling with us? that the next day it will be windy and rainy again?

I knew it!!! The weather was just fooling with us. Today it is raining again. Mai was the rainiest mai in 200 years (or since they started measuring). June has started like it is intending to be a worthy sequel. If it doesn't stop soon that saying "we all float down here" will be literally true. Grrrrr
