I've got a Coleman 5500. I've had it for 8 or 9 years. I finally went and bought a real ramp for my pick-up before I kill myself with it. I've done the 2x4 and plywood ramp enough times that I think my luck is about to run out.

My Coleman is called portable and although I load it up in the truck now and then, it's just barely portable. They should have named it the Hernia 5500.

Put gas stabilizer on the list. You may not use the gas for a while if the storm misses you.

Of course. I use Sta-Bil 360 for the generator and last fill up of the season in my other outdoor power equipment. The 360 also helps to prevent the damage to small engines caused by ethanol. Ethanol has become the number one reason for problems in mowers, tractors, trimmers, chain saws, wood chippers (oh, my), etc... anything with a small engine. And you can’t even find gas without 10% ethanol around here anymore. If you buy anything with a small engine these days, look at the warranty. Most warranties won’t cover engine problems arising from the fuel, anymore.Put gas stabilizer on the list. You may not use the gas for a while if the storm misses you.
In the summertime I use the ‘blue stuff.’
