Weather's been perfect round here these last coupla days, tell ya true. Perfect October weather, kinda chilly inna morning, but by noon it warms up just enough--not too hot, not too cold, slight breeze...trees starting to turn. Wish it could be just like it is now all year round. This here is perfect porch weather, a'yuh. Party on Muskie's Porch, cats. Bring yer own brisket. Let's fire up the grill and do some carnivorous creations...sizzle up some MEAT, by Crom, and vegans be damned! (Just kidding, my vegetarian friends...kinda. I mean, I'm still gonna masticate some meaty morsels, but don't wanna offend anyone).
Same here in Alabama. I went out back last night to throw scraps to the raccoons and I saw that the gardenia bush was confused; had a few new blooms. Tea olive bush, too. Other than this it is just a warmer October than usual.

It's been perfect fall weather here as well. Only problem is that leaves are not turning this year. Not yet. And I don't have a porch. Or a deck.

You have to watch out for racoons. They are cute, but shifty and don't trust em. I saw them shake down a cage of kittens. yia.
Who am I to say, I used to feed Mr. Possum, he would climb 3 flights of a fire escape to stare at me. Think he must have been friends with Ms. chip the squirrel, who did the same thing, then broke in and peed on my couch.
Weather, yeah. I had to put the heat on this morning. And have the fireplace going. But it's going to be a fine fall day.

So - great weather to crawl under the covers and watch movies in bed
Only problem is I won't get anything done all day if I do that
Getting very cool here now - fall is near the end and soon the frost will be here

Just wasn't expecting to see a weenie toaster. Never saw a weenie toaster...I would take my weenie toaster everywhere, if it was portable. Whip it out at work.

I shouldn't feed these critters but they're just so dang cute. I keep my distance but they come around like dogs at the crinkling of a potato chip bag. Five of them. They've taken up residence in the shed and I guess there's no evicting them with winter coming, lol. Muskrat told me about his mutant raccoon giving him a surprise scare. It was as funny as the squirrel peeing on your couch story.
....could we all just stop talking about weenie toasters.....it's making me a bit squeamish.....
