Quarter after seven on a Monday morning and the thermometer says it is 26F outside...a couple three degrees below zero on the Celsius scale. Feels like a heat wave after the weekend temps that were about 10 degrees cooler. We're headed for a high of 33. Sunrise at 8:02...sets 5:16. The lake-effect snow machine didn't drop too much snow on the area over the weekend. You'd think it be quiet walking in any snow, but w/the colder temps the snow sounded like gravel compacting under your boots. And on the highways and roads a mat of ice and snow forms...on the highway they cut these rumble strips on the edge where the solid white line is located...as well as one on the center line...somewhat of an aggravation, an annoyance, as you drive along, hear the rumble...and don't know for sure which way to correct...so you have to go with the flow, more so if traffic is coming from the other direction. Who comes up with these ideas...rumble strips?

It's better Fush. Thank you for asking. my arm just needed some rest yesterday and that helped.
It's funny how it happened. I was trying to pull my dog out of the ditch when it does not want to come and
suddenly I flew on my back. The road was so slippery where I was standing.

We got a little ice down here in Northwest Arkansas this morning, forgot how badly it affects everyone's driving ability. About thirty accidents in our city so far, and it's only the bridges and overpasses that are a little slick. Wish people would slow down....

Still dark here right at 7:30 am. We've 21F...about -5 or -6 on the Celsius. Went out a half-hour ago to scrape the driveway free of snow. Down to the pocked concrete, the salt they put on the roads plays mean w/concrete...or, only my concrete, as customers who I've worked for....their concrete drive is looking fine. Figure that one out. Was out in must a quilted shirt, thermal shirt (there are differences in thermal tops)...and I didn't feel cold though the weather channel says it feels like 6 degrees. Plow made several passes, as did the Village garbage truck. Tuesdays is garbage...sounds like a title...song or story. Looked in the local Gazette, 2nd page, they maintain a snowfall record and through yesterday we've had 4"...mostly just a dusting, an inch, spread out here and there since the middle of October. This morning there was enough to scrape the driveway and it gets to be habit, wanting the driveway free and clear of snow, clear of the snow-mat that can accumulate. Scraped it over to the side into a hay-row of snow...will blow it into one central pile later...or on a day when we get more than a few inches.
