I am angery because yesterday a familly was tak8ng a really long time at the cash. The little girl who was 8 was going around the area looking for more toys and the parents thought it was so cute. I asked the cashier to take me while they where deciding. The cashier said no, I was like then get more staff.. it ticked me off

....I "liked" simply to acknowledge reading it....there is nothing likeable in any way, shape or form over being canned.....I wish you fast re-entry into gainful employment and doing something you enjoy....

Not sure if you were still at this place, but I see that in some parts of Canada, Goodwill is filing for bankruptcy:

I think,what they are doing are getting rid of the full time jobs and going with temp jobs. They told me that the job was being dissolved or something.its a bit of a blur right know. The minus wage did go up, amd this new ceo who is taking over is a mean lady. So it’s o.k. I am lucky I am still living at home. I am just I could not say good buy to some of the people who I have been work8ng with for a long t8me. Plus they are keeping the more disabled employees as our goodwill puts an emphasis on hir8ng people with like Down syndrome and other disabilities.

Thanks. It’s not a huge deal. I am lucky I still live with my mom. It was just not me also they had one before me a lady who worked like 7-10 years.

Oh thanks, I am over my anger since I got “dissolved” last Monday they have already done the same thing to me, and got rid of 4 more people and two more from a different store. One may have quit due to his wife being a supervisor and let go or whatever, then I looked on jobs places and they are advertising my old job but in a part time position. So my theory of them getting rid of the full timers and make them into part time was correct.

I know, thT is why I can’t figure it out, the lady who is tak8ng over as a head manager in the c9mpany is a real, ******. She came I. Like January of 2017 so last year, and was really mean to people basically got rid of one of my good friends while she was on vacation and she was a manager, so we also think that she is getting rid of the older staff who knows what we are doing, and may not like some of her stupid ideas when she fully takes over but it is still going to backfire,
As if she fills it with moronic people the store will not do well. And she can close down the store. I th8nk that may be her ultimate goal perhaps.

At least they are keeping the people who are really handicapped who will literally not survive any other work place. So that is a plus, like Ross who has Down syndrome, and others

Written to the owner of the property on the other side of the back fence:

After several rounds of spraying with Roundup as well as digging, I made pretty good progress in keeping the side area clear of Queen Anne's Lace and continue to keep an eye on it. The renters you had last year were very friendly and supportive of this. I have not met the current ones.

Today when I went out for a few chores, I found an empty pack made to hold 20 cigarettes in my raspberry patch! I had to crawl through thorn bushes to pick up this and the first eight cigarette butts and was picking twigs out of my hair afterwards! On the other side I picked up more cigarette butts for a grand total of 64! A few were near the house, but most were along the fence on what is, by the position of the boundary, actually our property! There were also several round silver objects which appeared to be either BBs or ball bearings I also picked up and put in the pack. As I said, I keep an eye on that area and can absolutely attest that none of this was there until very recently. Had I thought the renters (at least one of whom does smoke) were unquestionably responsible, I would have shoved the whole thing behind the screen door, but as it was nothing like this ever happened before the arrival of the painters whose stuff is still there, so I left it next to their stuff.

Can you check with the painters or the renters or both to learn who was responsible and make sure they use a container for cigarette butts and ALL other waste? I already asked the painters for an estimate on painting our place, but if they are responsible for this I may have to rethink that. Thank you very much.

I'm not sure I would say I am angry, but... ah, **** it, I'm going to go to a window and yell "I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore." My mom and my granddad almost died last week and they are both in the hospital and I am trying to be there for them and my dad, but that's not the half of it though.

My boss took a vacation this week at the worst possible time for me and all of the employees lost their collective minds. Tuesday night I lost it and called my immediate acting supervisor out of desperation and said I was done and leaving. He told me just to hang on and that he would be by Wednesday to talk to me and even give me more money.

He NEVER showed. Didn't call. Didn't text. My supervisor, the guy who is supposed to have my back and be the law, either forgot about me or thought I was lying. 6 years with this company and this... is the treatment I get when I ask for some help.

That did it. I'm not in the mood for this nonsense. Saturday when my boss comes back from vacation I'll tell him that his boss is garbage and give in my notice.

It's never a good feeling to realize that people you thought would be there for you, aren't. Especially after you were there for loved ones. I hope you can clear the air with your boss without leaving your job. I wish you the best no matter what happens.
