Well, I was being sarcastic....but I just tried to post some pictures and I can't access the site. So I went to another message board where I posted them so I could just copy the codes...but the post is blank.

I think I'm breaking everything. :big_tears:

Oh don't weep baby girl. Facebook is having a moment. It's not you, it's them.

I his report it, and shortly after it seems to be working fine.

Unfortunately, I still cannot access the pictures I wanted to post here. Maybe tomorrow.

Maybe consider it a gift. I don't like Facebook. Everyone is all happy, happy, funny, funny - hey, I hated you in high school but I want to look at your kids and see where you work now. But maybe it's not like that for everyone. I was on for a bit and then deactivated and never looked back. Clearly, I'm bitter.

I have not deactivated but since discovering SKMB I hardly ever go on there anymore. (and yeah it is funny how people send friend requests and then all of a sudden they will 'unfriend' someone).

As a matter of fact it IS like high school - you hit the nail on the head with that one Holly!

Absolutely my feelings. I have never gone to a reunion. Not that I'm not interested in what my old classmates are doing. I'd love to hear, I just don't want to be forced to hang out with them for an extended reunion weekend, or an hour.

Have you seen that movie with Minnie Driver and John Cusack? I can't recall the name but they go back for their high school reunion - oh yah "Grosse Pointe Blank" - if you haven't see it you should. It helps if you have a crush on John Cusack.

Facebook has gotten me back in touch with relatives I lost touch with. It's also where I stay in touch with friends and relatives I don't see regularly. (Found my nieces blog there when she went to Cambodia to work with children.)

I've also reconnected with people I was friends with from the sixties on. Maybe not people I want to see regularly, but still people I like to communicate with.

I guess that is why I did not cancel my account. There are a few people in Scotland on there that I met in 2005 as well as my son in Edmonton and a few people I worked with in the military who are now in other provinces. So yes - it does have that going for it. It is not all negative AnnaMarie. :smile-new:

I mostly use it for knowledge . . .get a lot of updates on history and a lot of other things that hold my attention. In the beginning I hooked up with old friends and family members. I got sick of seeing all their photos and hearing about what they did that day . . .blocked all of that and now I just get to see the information I really want to see.

As for high school friends . . .I don't want to really see them or hang out with them . . .I was not in the 'IN' crowd and mostly I was bullied and picked on because I didn't have the clothes and things that others did. I can proudly say that I look damn good now compared to some of the Homecoming Queens and Jocks of my high school days. Most of 'em are fat as hell and extremely old looking and because they don't block who can view their pages I really have a great time looking and laughing at them . . .and they don't even know it~!

OK . . .I know that's mean of me, but it's nothing compared to the things they used to say and do to me back in school.

Oh, sweetie, you have a 'forspecial' place in my heart. I never have nor ever will go on facebook. There are some folks out there that I would just really never want to get in touch with nor have them know my business, ya know? I, too, was never in the 'In' crowd and, like you, I never had the latest fashions (we were poor) and now I may have added a few inches to my waist line but I'm still thin and gorgeous! (at least that is what I tell myself whenever I catch sight of me in a mirror, which isn't alot because, like vampires, I avoid them!) I haven't had any contact with anybody I went to school with for years and life has been good. I don't need to go down memory lane and relive all of the crap that was highschool.
