You know whats funny there was this PBS special about stephen king and it was the first time I heard him talk and he had that accent and I was like "whaaaaaaaaaaaaat?" Even though I am a fan I am not one of those fans that just attempts to get and see all things about his life his work yes his life no. I think that helps leave some mystery to things. I am sure if a scanned the internet right now I could find out what his favorite dinner or "dinnu" is but somethings are just better left unsaid. But if he was talking I would shut up and listen. Even if he was talking about something like "fishin on u lake fo ours" That's a kind of respect I don't have for a lot of people.

I should say that upon watching some you tube videos there wasn't an accent. Every once in a while there was a little something. for instance he would say "there is a stranger behind the bathroom door." and the entire sentence was normal but door sound like dooru" just little instances. Is that because he learned not to have one or because that is how people from Maine talk.

and no I am not confusing Maine with Boston Mass. I watch wicked tuna. I love that guy Paul. "I could catch a tuna from a mile away wit one eye closed in bad wheathu."

Hmmmm.... I would ask.... If there is gonna be a bunch of unpublished books after he dies? Maybe someone should go on a rescue mission? Lol jk. Hmmmm
I would ask him.... Is Carrie worth saving til he dies? That's what I plan to do. It's one of the only few I haven't read. Is it good? I know he threw it in the trash once. Maybe a bad idea.

Alright CHESTER if you made it here you made it further then me that fast. When you post something you should look at the messages around you and like the ones you like. Otherwise if no one is watching this thread specifically they will never no you posted unless you stumble across it. Now show me you get what I am saying by replying to this post not at the bottom but here. There is a big difference.

This is off the subject cuz i started this thread back when I thought I could ask Stephen King a question that hadn't been asked and answered HA, I would call that ignorant. SO NOW I am going to say a favorite SK line from an introduction to a book. I don't want to start a new thread just for that so I hope that is :okay:

Everyone is getting older, so I guess I would ask if he has given any thought to what he would like his final book to be about. Not that he may have any choice about when his writing career ends, but maybe what he would like it to be about if he did or if he gives any thought to getting older and how that impacts his writing. For an author like King it might even be possible to write such a book and hold it back to make sure he ends on the right note rather than some random point.

That would be cool it just better not happen for about another 197 years. But yeah if he wrote it and then waited to have it published after he retired say a couple years it would probably be a big sale. I just hope that doesn't happen any time soon!:beaten:

Keep in mind this island will provide you with sticks and sand! the guitar is accustic so no need for amps

I've met him and I can tell you that it is something really cool. He puts you at ease and if I were him, I'd want you to get the hell on! Hahaha . . .

I'd ask how he feels. I know his leg bothers him and I vide for him on that often. I hope it doesn't hurt much. I have scoliosis, so I know what such pain feels like. There are good days and then there are days when you move around like a crippled being. You try to act like 'it's all good' but it ain't and it doesn't hurt because you are used to it but really, it hurts like a mother-****er!
I think I'd probably ask him the same thing, and if the inevitable arthritis resulting from the accident is bad, and I'd hope to have some ideas for how to make him more comfortable. I'd ask him what his exercise routine is and for advice on my own medical issues. As a nurse I'd probably feel more at ease talking my own thing than trying to talk books or writing, etc.

I think his leg does bother him. In the you tube videos he sits and stands and when he walks you can see a little something there. When my mom injured her neck she could not sit stand or lay for more then 30 minutes without having to change it around. Just another proof in the puddin' the SK is a beast

I tried to reply to this twice... I guess the upload doesn't like my picture of me and guitar. Weaaaak
