I found out yesterday that I have a rare, weird autoimmune disorder. It's not going to kill me. It's not even very serious. It's just rare. And weird. It's just like.... WHY?

On a lighter note, though I am bummed about it: I brought BLT fixings to work, to share, for the whole week. Someone keeps putting the tomatoes in the fridge. Cold tomatoes ruin the sandwich. I'm going to have to demand a milkshake to get over that.

Keep one of the tomatoes on your desk for your sandwich. Totally agree with you about cold tomatoes. I wonder what it is about refrigeration that seems to sap the flavor out of them.
Pull a tomato right out of the garden and eat it, that is some good stuff.
Excellent idea! And then when someone says "why do you have a tomato on your desk?" I can say someone keeps putting them in the fridge. Maybe they'll stop. They are not of the homegrown variety yet. My farming connection says two more weeks on his homegrown tomatoes and 4 weeks on the watermelon. I'm dying.
