I don't have Insomnia or trouble sleeping, but I am definitely a night owl. If I don't have a reason to be up early in the morning, I generally go to bed around dawn. Even when I do have to be up in the morning I still can't go to bed early. Today/tomorrow I am getting up at 9.45 am, and it's now nearly 5 am.
It's been that way since I was in school - during the holidays I would start staying up later, listing to my built in radio on my walkman until 6 am.
If I ever go through a longer period where I have to get up in the mornings, when that finishes I gravitate towards staying up through the night within about a week.

I do the same thing during my summers off from teaching. Stay up until 2 or 3 A.M., then sleep in until ten or eleven. I really have trouble adjusting when school starts back up in August.
I've never been a morning person my whole life. For years I can manage to get to a job by 7a if necessary but I hate having to, I hate looking forward the night before or even the day before to the damn alarm going off. On days off I always sleep in.
UGH. Mornings. I can barely walk or talk until I leave for work.
Are mornings that weird thing that happens when the sun first comes up? I don't believe in mornings. That event should be banned like five days a week. UGH is right!

It's 1:40 am and my dog just woke me up to let him out. This has been one of the not so fun parts of him getting old. He usually wakes me up like this at least once a night.

It pisses me off a lot so when I get home I can't really go to sleep. So I fill that time watching anime and movies and reading and usually hit the hay at about 5:00 am each morning. Then I wake up bright and early at 1:00 pm and spend my time hoping the sun can go down soon because it's too bright outside.

Can I buy an hour or two off of anyone?

I feel like I should be asking you for an hour or two! 2am here, as you know. I'd feel better somehow if it was only midnight! I hope you get enough rest for work.
Yup, I sent Grandma an email telling her about my evening, sent it off, and then realize, oh, CRAP, is her phone going to buzz her at 2 am? Ugh!!

He's 13 and a few months. He's a lab and that's getting pretty old. He gets anxious when I go to bed for some reason. He doesn't seem to like to let me sleep for long stretches. He wakes me up to go out once or twice a night but most of the time doesn't really need to go out. I think he just likes to make sure I'm still there.
He takes pain meds for arthritis, so some of this could be discomfort although it doesn't seem to affect his sleep when I'm awake.
I'm really concerned about the fate of the mosquito. Does anyone know if inbreeding is possible? Had one nip me earlier...hour or two ago. Has it been that long? Big sigh. Wrestling with my Kindle Fire...doing this, doing that...had to de-register it 'cause I'd forgot the "parental controls" password I placed on it...I'm the only one who uses it, so you'd think I'd be all done with parenting...but nooooooooo! Musta figured I needed a good swift kick in the pants? Something. So...I'm trying to do this, do that...and...I need the freakin password to continue! Heh! Felt like Yossarian. Turns out...once you back everything up...you can de-register the kindle at amazon.com...and then register it again, parental password controls kapuuuuut! Viva la revolution!
So...got that all straightened out. Back to the mosquito. Thing is, I felt the sting. You're not s'posed to feel the sting, so what I figure is the mosquito is on the road to demise. Would you get behind an initiative to Save the Mosquito! Or perhaps it is just me? Being attacked by loser mosquitoes...hey! an easy mark! Look! Bastid is up at four ay-em! We're going in!
