I just purchased The Fireman yesterday! Needless to say, I am exhausted from reading all night. Such a great story!
Hello and welcome! We got to see Joe Hill in NH and it was great! But what was even better was that we met up with another person I met here on the boards and our little group had a grand ole time!
Hi Stacy, thank you for the welcome. I bet you had so much fun! My hubby and I are going to Nashville next week to see Stephen King for his End of Watch book tour. I've NEVER been to a book reading and I'm so excited. I'm so nervous and I don't really know what to expect. All I know is I've been a fan for many years and this is a dream come true! I'm currently reading NOS4A2 by Joe Hill and I love it. Christmas will never be the same. Ha Ha.

I'm a big Joe Hill fan! The only book I didn't like was Horns, but love all his other work. His comic book Locke & Key is amazing
....I have the TPB's of these.....looking forward to getting through them......
I don't read comics much, but Locke and Key blew me away. Genuinely scary and surprising.
I really enjoyed the Fireman, This felt kind of like a Stephen King book. The writing in this book more than any of his others felt so similar to his dad's style of writing. I really enjoyed it
I Like the look of Heart Shaped Box - I haven't read it yet 
I liked Heart Shaped Box. I really like 20th Century Ghosts. Other than that I don't have much of an opinion.

No real reason to post this, other than it is the most recent Joe Hill thread I could find
As I told someone recently..." I am embarrassed to say I have only recently began reading his work". I read Horns and The Fireman.. and really liked them both so I have decided to order all his books! lol I will be eagerly following his work from now on.
I'm not often truly scared by horror anymore but, when done well, I am. Heart-Shaped Box definitely made my neck hairs prickle (man, gotta trim those, lol).
Pet Sematary, of course, still thrills, too.
