This is gutting me, Y'all. When I showed up here in 2008, I was a lonesome, goofy gal who was very much bewildered with what life had thrown at me.
Twelve years later, I'm still that goofy gal who is sometimes bewildered......but now I have the best of friends. I don't know what I'm going to do without "seeing"
Y'all every day, but I do know that I'll never forget any of you. It seems like I was meant to find this place, and I wouldn't change a thing. ♥
Have you joined us at the Playground? Please do if you havent. It will never be the same but it will be good. And, Sunny...., any place where you are present are a better place!!

A funny thing happened to me today. I went in to a new store at the mall to buy some juice. When i wanted to pay she answered in a language i wasn't close to understanding. She looked friendly so i thought she might not speak swedish or english, the natural backup that most understand, So i thanked her in swedish. She turned around and said i'm so sorry in perfect swedish. Turned out she was totally convinced i was polish, said i looked polish whatever that means. Well now i know what polish sounds like. I think its a small store with polish specialities so they have a big part of their costumers polish and easteuropean. But ME looking polish??? Come on!! Or is that a compliment?? Hmmmmm

She was very kind.
The heat in sweden now is about 32-33 C here. About 90 F i think. When the temp moves over 30 C i stop moving. Just breathing is enough of an exercise, thank you very much! Just my little shopping trip made me come back drenched. I saw an article that sweden for the moment is warmer than, greece, spain, thailand and bahamas. The had more likeable temps like 25 and 27. Usually there is one week of really warm each summer but 2 years ago it was 6 weeks of over 30 temps. I nearly died and hardly slept at all. In sweden there is no AC in homes usually. It isn't, or should i say wasn't, needed? I couldn't buy a fan since they were sold out. I have one now and its making indoors bearable.

Be very careful in the heat. Stay hydrated. It has been around 36C in my area of Florida. Today they have heat warmings it may be up to 43C. Thankful I do have AC.

It should be a compliment, Polish men, and especially Polish women, are some of the most beautiful in the world, that is a fact. I get the same thing occassionally, but people seem convinced that I am Irish for some reason!? Must be the whole Celtic thing.

A sad thing happened on the beach by the big lake close to where i live. A 10-year old girl drowned. I been there many times. For some reason the people bathing by the lake are now accusing the people who fixed up the bathing place. That made sure that there are a nice sand beach to bath from, a parkinglot, a little store to buy candy and soda in and a playground. This is a lake, there are no streams that can drag people off, no hungry fishes or mighty waves to encounter. All you need to do is keep an eye on your kid and not on your phone. I think they should thank them instead for fixing the beach up. I know that if i went to a beach with kids i would keep an eye on them. Now they are acting as if this beach eat kids for dinner. I can understand, easier to blame others you dont know, but i certainly dont agree.

No one wants to accept personal responsibility anymore. Those days are gone. Blame someone else. I'm so sorry for the little girl.
