Hello Everybody!!
I hope all is well. I keep saying I'm going to find more time to come here, but I keep finding less. Life just keeps me way too busy.
I did get a break a couple of weeks ago, hubby and I went to Las Vegas for a few days. It was nice to have nothing important and pressing to do for a while.
I can't believe Christmas is so close! Where did the rest of the days go? I still need to decorate my tree, it looks funny standing there naked in the living room. And I need to do some shopping still. I have a new grandson to spoil! Yay! He was born 12-12 and is absolutely adorable! His Daddy said I could share him here..

Happy Hump Day!

What a day we had yesterday. Scott and I went to WM and found Ali some suitable shoes. Get home and at 3:30 I notice that the tag says one size but the shoes themselves were 2 sizes bigger! Of course. Why not?

So a fast trip back (yeah right) to exchange. An hour later (!!!) I get back in time to pick Ty up at school. He has been staying after for what they call ELO for some extra help with math.

Then an hour before Ali is supposed to be at the event center for her concert, it suddenly dawns on her that she forgot to bring her saxophone home! She is used to leaving it at the event center after their day rehearsal before a concert but the band director told them to take them back to school and don't forget to grab them on your way home.

So of course no way to contact teacher except through email. No answer at school office. 25 min before Ali is supposed to be at the event center, we call Brandon. He, as you know, is the district locksmith so has keys to everything. He meets us at the school and escorts Ali in....but everything was still unlocked so we didn't need him after all. But I have no doubt if we had just gone to the school without Brandon, everything would have been locked up tight.

We made it to the event center by 6:30. Concert started at 7 and went off with no further trouble.

I needed those 2 Monsters after all.

Need to get some groceries today and will have Sage here tonight so Brandon and Marti can attend her work Christmas party.

I need an extra Friday this week! I know once I get up off the couch here, it's going to be non-stop until Wednesday.

Here's our tree this year - you can see the Ogre's ancient alien face he found at the GW there on the wall - he wouldn't take it down for me. The second stocking from the left is mine. When I was 10 we moved from Florence KY to Mobile AL during Christmas break. Because the movers had packed up the house the day before Christmas Eve, we had to find somewhere to stay for Christmas (for some reason my parents never considered a hotel). My mom and brother & sister spent Christmas Eve with her sister & family(my Aunt Ann) and my dad and I spent Christmas Eve with his brother & family (my Uncle Bobby). It was a weird Christmas and we roamed the mall one last time - my dad bought me that stocking. It thrilled me a few years ago when my mom found it. So long ago but that memory is so superfine. It's got gold rick rack around the border - I got to pick out all the things the vendor tacked on it - the little snowman, a little bird. My name in bright blue. Notice how it's backwards? I never noticed that until the Ogre pointed it out. That's OK - that's actually perfection for me.

Very nice, HGL! Put a Santa beard on that alien mask like scrooge put one on the door knocker in one version of the movie. He'll look enchanting! Maybe a little Santa hat.

So, there was a bomb threat at the courthouse this morning. Guess who lives one block from the courthouse?......yep, I do. I've said it before, but I'll say it again......mean people suck.

Ok ,i'm almost done shopping, I have some food left tomorrow when i must get into town where the good delicatessen stores are. They have the best ham, the best cheeses. Also two more gifts. This evening i plan to wrap some gifts. But i have chocolate, candy and things to drink home. Also fruits , diverse other eating things necessary.

The shortest day of the year. Here the sun goes up 08.44 (8,44 AM) and down 14,49 (2.49 PM) . Its a good thing the days are getting to be a little longer each day now. Some days i wake up and the sun has already set!! It is wrong somehow.
