I appreciate folken's appreciation for my part, especially Scott who graciously gives me much more credit than I deserve. Early on I wanted to help and did a little investigation per hotel/motel info as well as info per Stanley tours. That's all I've done; other progress is due to Scott and Jen. Thank you Sai Scott for mentioning yours truly, and thank you Scott and Jen for moving the StanleyKon forward. It will be fantastic.

I'm seriously considering this one. I just don't wanna be staying at point A when everybody's roasting marshmallows at point B.

A campground of some sort does sound fun :) I'm pretty sure I and whichever of my famdamily can get the time off work will be there :) How often will a Kon be so close to me, right? I'll talk to The Man and do a little camping research, maybe. Thank you, Scott, Frank, and Jen. You guys are peaches and cream.

OK! I live in sweden.... but my brother mentioned that he has plans to invite me for parts of the summer. He lives in Fort Collins, Colorado. Thats close. I'll see if the tripdates coincide with the condates. In that case i'll try to be there. Don't know for sure until at earliest march or thereabouts. Looks like fun. For those that like scenic views there is a road that are only open in summer that go up in the mountain to where snow never melt, beautiful. (my avatar is taken there)

It's my stomping grounds. Unless I'm in assignment out of state, I'll be there - and I'll do my best to make sure I don't have an assignment out of state. I can say I'll take myself off the calendar, but if good-paying work comes up for a faithful if demanding client... well, that's how it goes. But I'll try, I'll really try.

I've been to the Stanley, attended seminars there, taken pictures, but never stayed there. Grandma and I have stayed at a B&B in Estes Park, and I've been to a couple events at the local Holiday Inn there, which is a very nice place. However, be aware that Estes Park is a tourist town, not a ski town, and summer is the tourist explosion. I'm doubtful that you guys could get extra special rates now without some special pull, because those rooms fill up.

For those interested in hiking and nature and stuff, Estes Park is the front door to Rocky Mountain National Park and its magnificent scenery.

Kurben, Fort Collins is about an hour from the Stanley. I'm well acquainted with that great midsized town. It's also the Napa Valley of microbrews.

For lodging outside of Estes Park, you have Boulder to the south, Longmont to the southeast, Loveland to the east, and Fort Collins to the northeast. It's along the I-25 corridor, I-25 being Colorado's Main Street. I would say all those towns are roughly equidistant to a Stanley tour, with Loveland and Longmont probably being the closer, but don't take my word for it. Maps abound.

We have a minivan to haul grandkids around in. Assuming I can make it there, and let's call that about an 85% probability, I'm happy to haul up to six adults around. If you wanted to experience the Little Red Beast, it's just a four-seater, sorry.

It's too early to get excited, and I'm not the excitable kind, but.... well, I'm excited. See my avatar? That's my excited face.

With the new work and everything else to pay for next year ( I and Juho have planned to buy a own house next spring) I don't think I am
able to come to the Kon 2016. My life has change so much since the first Kon. But wish I could come and meet my SKMB friends once again.
Hope all who can attend will have fun. Thanks to Scott who started this.

First I'd like to shout out a big big Thank You to Scott for taking over the project of the King Kon for 2016, and shout out thank you's to Blunty and Jen. I can only imagine the work that was put into this project.

I never say never, but at present I know I could not attend. Thus, I am wishing all well that do make this journey. I've felt a part of each past Kon via the pictures and reports that were shared on the SKMB, and hope this will be done again.

Safe planning, travels and enjoyment for all. Way to go SKMB King Kon 2016.

Afterthought: will there be Tee shirts again?
...I certainly hope so...and for that I AM open to suggestion as far as who to have produce them...obviously they have to have some type of non-wornout Shining reference...I'm thinking a spin on the twin girls would be a good place to start-but I'm no artist....

...as far as lodging...the previously listed spots were deemed the most affordable to the largest percentage of folks, ain't nothin' cheap-and those that had lower rates also had free bedbugs and roaches with every check-in...we can always huddle up at one spot Lepster, where several folks are to have some chin time...Tracy and I hosted quite a few folks at our room in Mansfield...ya just drop by and find something you can perch yer fanny on...where there's a will as they say...and I appreciate all the kudos, but we do this because we love this Board...plain and simple...and for me-you folks are why I decided to go after it again....I am in no way perfect, but we'll make something happen...and here's the deal-we will be together, that's what's important...all the rest is just stage dressing....

Well, the initials are King Kon, right? Twin Ks? Put back to back, or front to front, holding hands in the hallway? Something like that?

Used to be part of the Andy Griffith Rerun Watchers Club (yeah, yeah) and they had 'chapters' all over the country named after parts or lines from the show...like 'The Who's Been Messin Up the Bulletin Board?' chapter and 'The Thelma Lou, You're the Cats' chapter.

We could be The Officious Little Pricks chapter.

Now that I wrote all that out, it sounds wordy and stupid.
