Petco, not a cat, a dog, for a bath and nail trim. He came home with fleas.Has anyone taken a cat to be groomed at Petco or Petsmart? Would you share your thoughts please?
I would love to have a Maine Coon, they look awesome! I'd love to have a Bengal one day too.

Dana Jean - not all Petco, Petsmarts store are the same. Suggestion- spend some time, different days, different times and just shop/look around at products while observing the grooming area. Just saying.........that will help you decide if you desire their service or not.Has anyone taken a cat to be groomed at Petco or Petsmart? Would you share your thoughts please?
I used to work at PetSmart years ago. I was shocked and astounded to see them grooming cats and the cats taking it. I would never thought to do that. It seemed like an okay thing though. The cats were all pretty cool about it. I never ventured to take my cats out for grooming myself, I like my skin where it is.Has anyone taken a cat to be groomed at Petco or Petsmart? These cats are wonderful and smart as you please. They have a lot of energy though and if you don't keep them busy, challenged and amused they will make your life Hell. Chewing, jumping, clawing up stuff, bringing down households, you know the drill. They are not good to let outside on their own either, they tend to run for the hills never to be seen again. They are good leash cats though. You can walk them and they love it. It wears them out and keeps them from being bored with life. The Sherlock of domestic cats if you will.I'd probably go for the smaller option...
I'll probably never be able to afford one, I just think they're gorgeous and I love the intelligence in them. I would want them to be in a fully enclosed indoor/outdoor type set up, so would need to be on some decent land. These cats are wonderful and smart as you please. Another dog scenario - had my girl groomed at PetSmart many years ago (her regular groomer wasn't available). She got an anal gland infection after the appointment. Don't know how much training those places offer, but I NEVER took her to a place like that again.Has anyone taken a cat to be groomed at Petco or Petsmart? Would you share your thoughts please?
Crap. Both my kitties need groomed badly, I don't know where else to go.Another dog scenario - had my girl groomed at PetSmart many years ago (her regular groomer wasn't available). It's like Spidey said, and like Patricia A said. Check Yelp for the reputation of the PetSmart/Petco near you.Crap. Both my kitties need groomed badly, I don't know where else to go.

Gorgeous cat but for some reason it reminds me of the creature in Jeepers Creepers......
