Today I had to do the kind thing for a grand old lady. The kitty belongs to my Nana's elderly neighbour. Skippy was 21-years-old and so very sweet. She would run to meet me every time I arrived at my Nana's house.
This evening Skippy lay in my arms as she went off to sleep for the last time. Her dad couldn't face being there or bringing her home afterward, so she came home with me and soon after my boys decorated her special box.
She has a place in my pumpkin patch now and tomorrow we will make a cross to mark her resting place.
Sleep well little lady, you're missed already. xox
