I think you answered your own question!
I can understand some thrilljunkies. But almosr 300 people have died trying to climb everest. And thats not counting the ones that got off with lifelasting injuries that effectively makes them handicapped. I can understand risking ones life for a reason but if the reason is so you can say i was there i think its a weak reason. But you're probably right.

My latest movie was it. You guys are distracting me! Just saw Everest, a movie about a climb to the top that went wrong in 1996. It was a rather exciting drama but did not explain the basic thing. Why the heck does so many people try to do. Its dangerous!! One mistake at the wrong altitude and you're toast basically. The question was asked but not answered but perhaps a dummy like me wont get it. One thing is certain. You will never catch me trying to climb a mountain. Walk in the mountains yes, climb no.
The typical answer when asked why one climbs a mountain is 'Because it is there.' ;-D

Saw an old ie today. The Deep with Jacqeuline Bisset, Nick Nolte and Robert Shaw. Treasure hunting in the bermudas but drugs get involved and conflict arises. Lots of scenes underwater, some underwater fighting and a not so nice Moray eel. Directed by Peter Yates. Shaw has a similar role as in Jaws but this is far from that good. Just OK. A bit too much similar underwater scenes for me.

She looked good whatever she had on in that movie! I liked the way her hair floated behind her underwater......
When this movie was released all the guys could talk about was the wet t-shirt thing. Not anything about the plot, or the acting, or the shark, just the t-shirt......

Spiderman: Homecoming (2017) Tom Holland, Michael Keaton, Robert Downey Jr

After The Amazing Spiderman basically remade the Tobey Maguire movies, the last thing I thought the world needed was another Spiderman movie but I was wrong. This new Spiderman is fantastic. The story is new and ties in with the other Marvel movies. I don't think there could be a better choice for Spiderman than Tom Holland. He's close to the right age, he's very athletic (a gymnast kind of athleticism which is perfect for the type of stunts he does) and he brings a ton of charisma to the role. Stan Lee said when he created Spiderman, Tom Holland was the type of kid he envisioned. Michael Keaton plays the villain and Iron Man makes a couple of appearances.

I want to see this. I'm not a fan of Spiderman and didn't like the past few films. Maybe this one will change my mind.

Get Out, on HBO. I thought it was a nifty little horror movie. I have no idea why they're trying to shoehorn it into the comedy category for the Golden Globes, though--the main character's friend was a little funny, but the movie was not. It was straight up horror.
