Here's ya a story idea, dig (ya get this one free, the next'll cost ya):

Thawed-out buddy comedy featuring Walt Disney and Bruce Lee, out to stop the destructive machinations of Hitler's brain (now operating an army of gorilla warriors via top secret 'Hypno-Scope' thought projector). Heavy emphasis on cryogenic brain damage, see, like, Walt and Bruce are nasty perverts stuck on angora sweaters and fresh vegetables. Put Elvis in there somewhere.

Hi SPM05201997, Most story ideas are variations on a theme. If you are stuck finding an idea, steal someone else's theme and change it to make it your own. If there is an original thought out there I'd like to see it. Happy Birthday next May! All the best, mal.

In answer to the OP's query: there are countless ways to get story ideas, and I'm speaking from my own experience. I get them from people I know, people I have seen or read about. I attain them from characters and other works that have inspired me, like Stephen King's bibliography. I discover them through deep thought, by asking myself probing questions; for instance, suppose you want to write a horror or thriller story about a member of the United States Postal Service. If he's the villain of the piece, why is that so? If the mailman is the hero, what kind of predicaments can he get into?

To quote Kuato from Total Recall, OPEN YOUR MINDDDDDDD....

You could write about another world where people´s race differenciate from each other by being deaf, blind, and so on ...
I mean .... A lot of people of the same condition situated in one place, and how they deal with that issue through out their lives...
one world may have only deaf people living in it.... in another world only people who are mute...
or could be people who are one particular disease .. or people who have one particular sense developed in its full potential...I dont know if I make myself clear...!
and then... you could describe their worlds... how they see sadness , happiness or love according to their perspective... I dont know jajajaj

Your'e living in the street that Stephen King lives and you fantasize about him every night. You have a big picture of him on the wall, and you wish he could come through the window like a vampire and take you away. You hear a bump, what was that, you ask yourself, it's 11pm. You switch on the lamp on your bedtable. There is a baseball lieing in the middle of your room. You hear footsteps outside your window. Why did I leave my windows open, even though it's summer. There are two knocks outside your window. Who's there you ask switching off the light. Stephen King, the voice answers. "Golly gee, ma'am, I'm terribly sorry, but I was practicing my baseball batting with my automatic pitcher that I bought at the sports store." You are furious, you get off the bed and walk to the window. "You...you..." You are lost for words when you see how tall he is and handsome in his Red Sox base ball gear. You swoon and he catches you in his arms.
