...as a nurse, these injuries scare me badly...head traumas are so unpredictable, but his medical care will be top-notch...it will be a combination of that and indomitable spirit that will win him through if it is to be...if not, let him sleep away...no fear, no pain only the checker flag at the finish line in the clearing, with the love of fans cheering him home...

Keep your hopes alive and be positive!

3.5 years ago I suffered a terrible car accident as a result of which I was severely injured, experienced severe traumatic brain injury and went into coma state. My doctors were not hopeful about me recovery and telling the exact same things that Schumacher's doctors are telling to press. However here I am, alive and strong as before. Hence, I would advise everyone to stay calm and positive because that was what my friends waiting in the hospital for me did during that period.

Thank you for this Boss, I'm glad you have recovered from your accident and also, welcome to the site. :)

Hopefully he can recover. Head injuries are scary. Even ones that seem minor.

I know a guy that was riding a bicycle and wrecked and hit his head fairly hard. He thought he was ok but decided to go to the hospital anyway. They gave him a CAT scan and told him everything was ok. About a week later, he started having trouble; he was shuffling when he walked and slurring his words. He had basically forgotten about the bike accident at this point. His wife took him to the emergency room and they did another scan. This time they found he was leaking a small amount of blood around his brain and they operated. After the operation, he seemed ok and they released him and about a month later he started having trouble again. They operated again and it didn't go very well and they had to induce a coma. He was in the induced coma for a couple of weeks but finally he got stabilized and recovered (it took a while).

thats a scary thought. Cause you always assume its ok and you just go about things as normal.
