In the early 70s, Dr. Hook had a song called Freaker's Ball. It was raunchy. My little brother always heard one lyric as "pass that roast, please". It was something else entirely. When I asked him about it years later, he said that he said he always imagined a huge party where they were eating.

You know the song "Centerfold"? I still don't know if it's by Jay Guyles' Band or Jake Eyeles' Band.

Now that I know what the song is really about, I can't listen to it anymore.

It's fine. It's an awful, shallow song.

“Dirty deeds, done with sheep”

I thought it was dirty deeds and the dunder chief.

I never could figure it out until I looked it up. I always wondered what "dunderchee" was.

Do I need to mention Manfred Mann's version of Blinded By The Light?

Yeah, didn't think so. I don't want to get banned from the Forum anyhow. Moving right along. :run_pig:

Nah, douche, rubber, it's been mentioned already. :)

I wonder if there's ever been a more misunderstood song than Louie Loiue by the Kingsmen.....

Louie Louie The Kingsmen

Louie, Louie,
me gotta go.
Louie, Louie,
me gotta go.

A fine little girl, she wait for me;
me catch a ship across the sea.
I sailed the ship all alone;
I never think I’ll make it home

Three nights and days we sailed the sea;
me think of girl constantly.
On the ship, I dream she there;
I smell the rose in her hair.

Me see Jamaica moon above;
It won’t be long me see me love.
Me take her in my arms and then
I tell her I never leave again.

Taylor Swift's "Blank Space"

"Lonely Starbucks lovers?"

:a11: I had actually convinced myself that line was "Call all my Starbucks lovers, they'll tell you I'm insane." It had to be right, because at Starbucks, they write your name on the blank space on your coffee cup. :facepalm_smiley: According to Google, it's supposed to be "Got a long list of ex-lovers". I like my version better!;-D
