My mum has recently just gone through open-heart surgery to remove a large tumour and has been cleared of any cancer from another part of her body, so this Mother's Day I'm feeling extra-specially thankful.
My mum hasn't had an easy life and I am so grateful to still have her in mine. I love her with all of my heart and am enjoying every new day we get.
Thank you Mum, for each sacrifice you made for your kids and family... I might not have told you enough, but it was so appreciated. xox

Hope all moms have a special day tomorrow, hopefully I am able to celebrate this day in the future with my children (I don't have any yet)

Too cute! What a sweet lil fella!I watch a couple little boys. The oldest just turned 3 and still has a little trouble wiping his bum. One day while sitting on the potty he told me, "I'm a man, but I can't wipe my bum yet." I thought that figuratively, this wasn't going to change ever. lol!
So... we are one day ahead of most of you guys, right? Well... my lil guy (7) got a bit confused this morning. He came into my room just before 6:00am and asked me to open a jam jar, I was pretty foggy so did it without questioning the time. (it is Saturday morning here and we do tend to sleep a little later at the weekend, if possible)
I fell straight back to sleep and then was awakened about 15 minutes later when he walked in carrying this huge tray... with two pieces of toast sitting very importantly in the centre of it. One jam, the other peanut butter.
"Happy Mother's Day, Mum! I love you!"

He climbed in with me and we lay there eating mother's day toast... a day early.

And HAPPY MAMA'S DAY to all you Mama's around this joint (and a special one for Shasta, her first, yayyyyy...see I do pay a little attention).
Especially to you amazing women what may have spawned a trouble makin', rabble rousin', rule bustin' all to hell, rat pat bastid like yours truly (not sure, well that would be the one you look at with great love and affection, while at the same time have to wonder what life mighta been like if the cork hadn't been popped, cap hadn't been twist, on that one bottle of grape) oh my word do I know y'all gots your hands full, and maybe your duct tape, just remember, never break eye contact, it really makes our kind squirm
...but come on come on, admit it, we ARE, the 'favorites', huh, huh, huh huh huh, yeaaaah
