Thankee Flake. Mr. Mercedes felt a little like the character Harold Lauder from The Stand. Awesome, Snake. So you are helping others fight the good fight..Ive always been interested in the psychology of serial killers and such, I guess that's why I'm a mental health counselor. Anyway, I went into mr. Mercedes unsure that I'd like it and the letter was just so raw and deranged I knew then that I was going to like it.
I hadn't made that connection before - interesting comparison!Mr. Mercedes felt a little like the character Harold Lauder from The Stand.
If you call helping teenagers with depression, anxiety, etc. fighting the good fight, then yes lolThankee Flake. Mr. Mercedes felt a little like the character Harold Lauder from The Stand. Awesome, Snake. So you are helping others fight the good fight..
Yes! And it's good to see you!!!Better late than never 8)
Me too! Sounds like you may have lots of insight into Brady's character.Yes, I do call helping teens with mental illness, fighting the good fight.
Well I have to say I feel for some of the lies in the letter, such as the condom, masturbating to the memory of the crime, etc. Although I was smart enough to figure he was lying about not wanting to do it again.Me too! Sounds like you may have lots of insight into Brady's character.
Sounds like a plan to me.So guys, are we good to meet like this each Sunday evening for an hour? We'll discuss this story in increments of about 30 pages and agree to read the next 30 for next week?
Sorry - my computer's been wonky tonight. So guys, are we good to meet like this each Sunday evening for an hour? We'll discuss this story in increments of about 30 pages and agree to read the next 30 for next week?
Sounds, good. I will do my best to be on time. I would suggest we look at chapters vs. page count though. It might be hard to stop at 90 or 120 if something is about to happen! So guys, are we good to meet like this each Sunday evening for an hour? We'll discuss this story in increments of about 30 pages and agree to read the next 30 for next week?
I just looked it up - Trelawney was a Can-Toi security guard in DT VII and Richie Trelawney was a character in Christine. Good memory VL!!!I like that SK divided the chapters into lots of mini chapters. It does make it easier to read manageable bits. Next week we'll read through the end of page sixty two. My Computer just crashed and I had to reboot.
The name Olivia Trelawney is really familiar. For some reason I am thinking about one of the 'thinny' areas in the Dark Tower when Roland and Eddie or Jake needed a ride to go meet the author? Or am I imagining that connection?
