Next up: Talladega. The format is a little different this year. They've got "rounds" in the Chase that narrow the field. I'm not sure I like it. I KNOW I don't like Jeff Gordon's abysmal qualifying run. What's up with THAT?

Wow. Interesting day in Texas. Brad Keselowski rammed Jeff Gordon's car, cutting his tire down, spinning him out and maybe costing him this year's championship. After the race, Jeff expressed his displeasure.
The fight's getting more attention than the race.
Jeff did a lot of things wrong today. During that last restart, he should have chosen to restart on the inside rather than the outside. That was huge. And this fight isn't going to bode well for him. After the smoke cleared (literally), Jeff's still in the top four (barely) and an outside chance at the championship with only two races left in the season. That's fine and dandy, if Nascar doesn't knock off points for the fight or ban him from racing next week. If either of those happens, the Drive for Five (Jeff's fifth championship) is over.
I can't say I wouldn't have done the same thing in his place, and I'll be honest. I'm glad Jeff did it. Keselowski is a jerk for ramming him. These aren't bumper cars. He had a butt-whooping coming and I'm glad he got it. But it was a bone-headed thing to do. I hope it doesn't cost Jeff the year.

Keselowski has had that coming all season. He has a lot of the other drivers mad at him, and with good reason. He's a jerk.
I was glad Gordon opened up the can of whoopass.....I hope NASCAR stays out of it. I think other drivers could be planning a payback for Keselowski if it looks like he might make it to the final race.

If you watch the video, the fight wouldn't have happened if Kevin Harvick hadn't given Keselowski a shove into Jeff's reach. Keselowski was being careful to stay outside Jeff's reach, backing away like a coward, until Kevin gave him a push from behind. Jeff got hold of Keselowski's fire suit, and that's all she wrote. Thanks Kevin!
Keselowksi has had it coming all season, and I'm glad Jeff's the one that gave it to him. :)

I thought it was funny that Gordon called Keselowski a dipsh*t on tv.....
He struggled not to call him worse. LOL!
I'm sure there will be fines handed down for that little scuffle. I'm just interested to see if there are any other penalties.

I know!..LOL
It was just so out of character for Jeff Gordon, and so fitting at the same time. I know there will be fines, but personally, I think the man deserves a bonus!

Well. There might not be any more irritating Nascar posts from me. I know. Promises, promises.
But Newman, who has no wins this year, wrecked Kyle Larson on purpose on the last lap today, knocking Jeff Gordon, who has 4 wins this year, raced clean and earned the spot, out of the Chase on points. In the last 3 seconds of the race.
If Nascar doesn't review that intentional wreck and dock Newman out of the Chase, I'm done with Nascar.
