Egads! I have never seen anything like that. Do cats do this often? Is it like when an owl coughs up a pellet? Are they supposed to do that? Horrible.

I (unfortunately) opened the spoiler and egads NO - at least I have never seen one that bad

- my one cat will leave me a furry hairball infrequently but that picture does not resemble what he coughs up!

I have one cat who barfs up hairballs the size of New Jersey. I know it hurts so I have medicine for it and I also buy special dry food with hairball blasting technology. Try stepping on one of those squishy critters in the middle of the night. eegads.

I put it back outside on a Sego palm. The best news is, nothing appears to have been ingested...so no catpuke today.

Perfect. And that's exactly what my cats do. I have tile throughout my house, and if they would puke there, it would make it so much easier to clean up. But nooooo. They have to puke in the one room with carpet or on my bed, or in a pile of clean clothes.

I have (had) a nice, inexpensive little laptop fan. Today, National Hairball Awareness Day, Murphy puked about a gallon of what appeared to be water on/in it. (Actually, she was good and aimed to the side where the motor isn't, and I think she did no damage, but I feel like taking advantage of an opportunity for needless drama). The cat has ruined a wireless Apple keyboard thusly.
