I've only just read "On Writing" and wanted to send in the 'homework'. But the thread I found discuss this, said that Mr. King is no longer accepting submissions. So I'm behind the times a little lol. But now that I wrote this I am wondering, can I publish what I wrote or is his idea-prompt under copyright? I used his idea and the names for the three characters so I am not certain what the rules are. I really like what I wrote and since I am getting into the authoring gig this year I am wondering if I can use this as a short story?

Well either way, I think I will peruse the site and see what people think about MR. and hiw good works.

Ms. Mod is the main moderator here and usually works between 8:30am and 4:00pm (EST) Mon-Fri. She is off duty for the holiday on the 4th and then away on vacation until July 14th.
You could try to contact her via our "Conversations" system (located in the profile area) once she returns to work. :)

Once you launch your website, if you wish to post links to it, you will need to start a new thread in our Self Promotion area, this is the appropriate place to link to your own work/blog/etc.

You guys are great and funny! I got a message on Ms. Mod page. I didn't even know I could promote myself on another's writers site like that. Thank you. I am glad for the help and the encouragement.

When I posed in the newbie thread and said I was going to be launching a website for my writing, one of the moderator's (above)was extra helpful and simply posted a link to the thread under self promotion. that made is was simpler for me to get it right the first time. Normally I just flounder around until someone spells it out for me lol.

You're welcome to submit your version of the writing exercise for publication. Stephen doesn't have a problem with anyone doing so.
