I'm not a big fan of message boards, but feel very compelled to put this idea out there. TOTAL newb here. Longtime big fan of SK. Iv'e just listened to This American Life podcast #199 "House On Loon Lake". It was an incredibly captivating true story that took place in Freedom New hampshire over the span of decades (1939 to current). I will not even try to sum it up here, but suggest that you listen to it for yourselves. It felt as if listening to an SK audiobook as told by the characters themselves. I'm not sure what the proper rules, or educate are. He might even consider the suggestion of adapting a true life story to fiction blasphemous, but the base of the story is that good. Right in his wheelhouse. The main storyteller found the relic of a "Moxy" soda display for crying out loud. Thanks for your time.
