Hi there,

just a quick question. I have never been on mr. King signing event as I live an ocean and a lot of continent from there but I will be on business trip at the same time as mr. King signing event on November 11.

Yeah, I know the drill. Camp there in previous evening so the blokes won´t get in front of ya. Just a quick questions in order to get my stuff together

a, if I understand it correctly, the bookshop will be opening at 9AM when I can get a Revival book together with limited amount of wristbands that will allow me to go to signign event later on. Correct?

b, will mr. King be signing there only Revival book or book of my choice? I have in my archive first edition of Carrie book that I´d love to be signed. Is that an option?

Thanks,

Nik

Damn it. All other events were specific that only Revival will be signed and nothing else, this one was not so I had hopes.

Still angry that I missed the last year Europe tour, Paris is just 4 hours flight directly from my city for reasonable price. Is there no way in next 10 months that I could get it? Some other event? Though mr. King does only one tour a year.

He's not doing any other signings--or at least none are scheduled--and does not always do a book tour. He did not do one for Mr. Mercedes. It's been current practice that the signings are connected to a book release and only the book being promoted will be signed. We specifically asked the book stores if they wanted to allow other books to be signed as long as the person bought a copy of REVIVAL but they didn't want to make things confusing for their employees or get into any problems with customers about it so thought it would be easier all around to restrict it to REVIVAL.

No wonder they are all going out of business. It seems like a fairly simple concept. Buy the new book, get one book of your choosing signed and then move along. Everyone is happy. It works like a dream in most non-book store events that King attends with no confusion. Some people are still going to bring older books to these events and it seems like the potential for confusion and problems would more likely result from telling them they can only get the new book signed. Oh well, the world is an imperfect place. I will settle for anything I can get and be :a24:.

That's why (other than the NYC signing for some reason) the venues have clearly stated in their advertising that no other books or memorabilia will be signed. People can't say they haven't been forewarned and the ignorance of the "law" is no excuse principle would come into play there when the other items are refused.
