Please take care of yourself. All those doctors have condos in Hawaii that they need to make payments on, so don't let them give you the run-a-round. If you must, then go see another doctor for a second opinion. I would be very upset if my doctor had not told me I have kidney disease. You need to let him know that this was very, very upsetting to find out the way you did! Healing vibes (and lots of hugs) sent your way!!

Thanks guys for the encouraging words. IF I could get in to see my family doctor, I could get this taken care of sooner. I can NEVER get in to see him if I am really sick. I have to go to a walk=in service or the emergency room. How stupid is that? I am just angry about the whole thing.

My cardiologist's office called me to say, "You haven't been in for quite a while. This is a reminder to make an appointment." So a couple days later (about July 22), I call to make an appointment. "Oh, he's booked up till November, and after that, we don't have a calendar pulled up. Call back in a couple weeks when we'll have his November calendar." Tell me again about the purported long waits in countries that have "socialized" medicine.

Seems to be standard procedure for any type of 'specialist' anymore.
