Like I've stated elsewhere about the Bachman books, I'll betcha King has one more Castle Rock novel left to write. I know, I know, Needful Things is considered the final C. Rock book, but yeesh, that was almost thirty years ago. It'd be awesome to revisit that creepy little town again, see what's been happening since Leland Gaunt damn near destroyed the place.

It keeps popping up in other books, such as DOME and REVIVAL, every time whetting my appetite for another trip to the 'Rock. And with the way Uncle Stevie's been doing sequels these days, a return visit doesn't seem so far fetched an idea. So there's another buck I'd wager.

A buck? Nah, I'll go yez all one better: if another Castle Rock novel ever gets published, I'll buy you all a round of beers at The Mellow Tiger.

I picture Castle Rock as Gibson's Landing in British Columbia here in Canada because that is where they filmed the movie. It is my favorite town on the Sunshine Coast. That old show The Beachcombers was filmed there. I watched a rerun of that a time or two lol.

There's an actual Castle Rock, Colorado.
There is one near St. Ignace in Michigan - stayed overnight there on the way back from King Kon last summer.

But (it's not a town) - it's just a big rock!

Indeed there is, for I've been there.

...I think he's done with the locale, except for tangential references....

So you'll take my wager, sir Giant? That's one crisp dollar you can kiss goodbye, cause I still bet he's one more tale to be set in the 'Rock. Just got a feelin, sir.

...If I lose, you get the portrait of old George that I snagged from the G-string of this fetching lass....
Too much giant! lol! [\spoiler]

I haven't read it in awhile, but I did rewatch the movie recently, and the town was far from completely destroyed ... a lot was, but most of it was still there after the chaos and carnage. It's possible for them to have rebuilt, it's not an impossible thing.
