Our New Family Member!!

Karen, and Sam have been gone just about all afternoon. When they came home with a kitty!! She is a calicom and a year old. very friendly, and so far has taken to all of us.
Her name is Bethany, and answers to Bethy. Ihave not had a cat for almost 7 years, so I cried when I saw her. She has the most beautiful eyes!!

To say I am happy is an understatement!!

It took her maybe 2 hours before she would come to either of us, and now she is wanting pets.
She knows what a kitchen is all about! If either of us go in there she will watch us!
The lady told Karen that she had been at the shelter for awhile. everyone there loved her, because she is really sweet, and loving.
We have her for a 2 week trial before she is totally ours. They just want to know that she is fitting in okay.
I think she is already, so I am not afraid that she will have to go back.
I love her eyes, they are big, and very beautiful.
Kat doesn't know what to think just yet, or how to go about making friends with her, but it will come in the days to come.
Bethy was crying at me, and she looked so pitiful because she was hungry.
I can't wait for her to start playing! Karen got her some toys, but she won't have anything to do with them just yet.

Bethy is beautiful! Thank you for giving her a forever home. Funny, but I was thinking about getting myself another kitty. The local shelter is having an adoption sale- for the price of a license ($15) you can adopt an adult cat and they will spay/neuter, give it shots, microchip and give it a full medical exam. Not bad, eh? It's been over a year since I had to put down Tara and I think my other baby girl (she's actually 16 years old now!) is getting lonely when I'm not here. Guess I have some stinkin' thinkin' to do tonight....

I don't know if she was a rescue cat or not. Karen will have to find out.
She is an indoors kitty, I do know that about her. Never been outside, and we are not going to let her go out either.
She has been fixed, and up to date on all her shots, so that is good.
She justs cries all the time! I don't know why! We kinda think she misses the shelter, but not sure.
She doesn't like other cats, but likes dogs. I found that to be very odd!!
Going to day to get her some things from the pet store.
The markings on her forehead remind me of some kind of funky bangs! She also has a bears on her chin. She is just marked so pretty! And she has a squichy soft slick coat. I don't see that she sheds much either.

She just does not know what she walked into in this house! She will be spoiled rotten, and loved so much by all of us!
Karen, and I just went to the pet store, and got her a new bigger carrier, 2 boxes of wet food (48 cans all together) a toy with a feather, and a mouse on it, like a fishing pole thingy, a scratching post, some treats, and a bed that looks like a fish that she can crawl into. Also 3 food bowls, one for water, one for dry food, and one for wet food.
Her bed is so cute, but right now we can't get her into it. Karen put some treats in it, and maybe after awhile she will go into it.
Karen will have to find out who her vet is, and see when she has to go back again. We are going to do it right with this one!
The pet store has a grooming area for animals. They will give her a bath, and cut her toenails, and make sure her ears are clean. All the good stuff.
The pet store also engraves her name, and address, and phone number on a tag, and Karen is going to get that done also.
