I'd love to travel to exotic far away lands, but trust me when I say, I'm too chicken to fly that long in a plane....:applause:

And too poor.....:(

Aww bless, sometimes I forget that we don't all have the same opportunities in life. I'm fortunate I can choose when I work and have no commitments tying me down...so if I want to go somewhere I do. Literally many times on the spur of the moment. Maybe I should start a travel/picture thread so you all can live vicariously? This month I'm going to Glasgow and London, then Malta next month, and back to Greece in May. I bet I could find many interesting things to share from all of those places. :smile2:

Harry Potter's brilliant green eyes were yammered on about endlessly, too, but did it make any difference that Dan Radcliffe has blue eyes? Nope. Because eye color is not character.

I trust you know that an eye can be a character though.........:applause:

Sounds great. Glasgow is a terrific city, and London ain't bad. Not been to Malta, but I live Greece, mainland or the islands?

I love travel but am not over keen on planes. Travelled to Spain last year by train via Paris which was great. Off to Tokyo in a couple of weeks to see old friends which I am really looking forwards to, but I'm not looking forwards to the plane. Sadly train travel to Japan whilst a friend has done it via Russia and a boat is not practical for me.

Please do start a thread, Ally. You know I never get to travel- a choice of responsibility, so I "travel" through others adventures. Would love to see all the place you see.

We could have a "postcards" thread where board members could post pictures from their travels with the traditional "Wish you were here" message.

I was going to make an obvious comment..So I will. Just saying that I pictured his son Scott Eastwood playing the Gunslinger. However, I respect the director's choice of case members.

Yeh I've been to Glasgow and London many times, so will be mainly catching up with friends, going to see a concert and to the theatre but not really doing the usual touristy stuff. Greece is my most favourite place in the world, I definitely prefer the islands. I'm not really a big fan of Spain but travelling there via train/Paris sounds fun. And I would love to go to Tokyo, lucky you...a "postcards" thread sounds amazing. You should create it! :smile2:

Yeh I can't respect his choice, mainly because of his disgusting verbal reaction to those of us who were unhappy with his casting decision. Many DT fans are passionate about the story/characters and we should be able to express our opinions, favourable or not, without being broadly accused of racism. Idris Elba will never be my idea of Roland so I'd rather not watch him, but that certainly does not make me a racist a**hole that should go f**k myself. Tut tut tut, Mr Producer Man...a fine example of how not to encourage people to watch your movies. :eyebrow:

Wilmington DE, strange little place.
I changed my mind, I renounce the movies/TV show forever. Its going to be idiotic.
there will be massive changes , Just like Under The Dome.

Deadline reports that the 28-year-old Australian is in negotiations to take the female lead, a character named Tirana. That’s all well and good, but as the character looks to have a huge role, fans of Stephen King’s The Dark Tower saga have some questions. Tirana is indeed a character that plays a part in the narrative, though it is a relatively small one, and while it appears that she’ll be a key player right from the get go in the movie, she doesn’t even show up until the seventh book.

What this seems to indicate is that there will be some significant changes made in Stephen King’s The Dark Tower in the translation from page to screen, and that’s something that always gives fans pause. Or just straight up pisses them off. These concerns will probably be further amplified because of how passionate and rabid fans of King’s work, and especially The Dark Tower, can be.

I could get used to a "black-british-sexy'Man" Roland but I can Never, Never stand the changes their gonna make
to the story it self, I will never speak of this again, Just like the remake of The Shinning, I will pretend
that it doesnt excist.

Its just gonna be stupid

I.
