I remember seeing it in the theater in Seattle on opening day! I was a HUGE Prince fan back then. I still have the large poster of the movie on my wall! I think I was the only guy there, all the rest were young women . purple rain 001.JPG
What amazing music he's given us over the years! Did you know he originally had given the song Purple Rain to Stevie Nicks to record but she didn't know what to do with it. Prince also worked on the synthesizers for her song 'Stand Back'! He's our generations Beetohven! He's got some surprises in store for all of us this year!!

I just blame it on the rain.

Compared to the Eighties, the Sixties be geniuses.

I like the artist formerly known as a dumbarse for changing his name too much (not P'Diddy).

Prince was cool enough to not need to maintain the apex of cool, and he exited stage left with perfect timing.

Is 30 years old today. Geez, I remember going to see the movie in a theatre. Loved the movie, loved the song, still do.
Man, am I old!

30 years, for real?

I saw it in the theater, too. I was almost 14, and my 12 year old sister and I loved Prince. He was one of the few musicians at the time that we could agree on!

I can't believe it's been that long. I'm glad he's still with us. :)
