Yes I believe so... but summer hasn't been overly warm so they may still be on the trees.
I would like to know this as well. We have a fig tree that bears fruit every summer, and I've never eaten a figgin thing off it because I don't know how!
Oh Danie!! Just eat them right off the tree. They are so delicious. I eat them all summer long and mourn the end of the season. They're not too sweet, they're not tart, they're just yummy!
Costco has dried figs, but I just know they won't taste at all like a fresh squishy fig.
Nope - just bite right into it. I don't even wash them, but I know the tree. I might wash one from a tree I don't know.
Oh taste: hmmm, I can't describe it - not quite like a plum, not really like a grape - but kind of like both. They have a taste unique to themselves.

Yes, and we have to wait until July for fig season. I always do this by the end of January - jones-ing for figs and watermelon and the beach.
I'm going to watch for figs now. I must eat a fig this year.
