Must be National Play Chicken Day for wildlife. On the way into work I had to slam on the brakes for two deer (at different areas), a red fox, and three squirrels (actually the squirrels didn't warrant breaks... just a swerve at best).
Poor squirrels........

Edit: Oooh! I saw my first gray fox the other night. I've seen lots of red ones, but this was my first gray one. I was so happy!
Yeah, I know......I'm weird.

We've got a zillion gray squirrels around here. Won't miss a few. ;)

And about six raid my bird feeders and kill my wife's flower garden (including daisies). She's had enough with the destruction and said she's rethinking my BB gun idea.

On my other wooded property a coyote built a den about half way up the mountain. Unbelievable the size. A black bear could live in it.

If it's killing daisies, then it has to go!
Coyotes are kinda scary. I wonder how many of them live in one den?

Not so 'poor' anymore, eh? :)

I’d say more than one, definitely. I’ve found a couple of deer carcasses in the area. They built the den overlooking a ravine the deer use to get from the upper parts of the mountain to the creek. In a couple of weeks I’ll take down my trail camera I have at home facing the suet feeder on the clothesline and move it to that ravine to see what goes on.

Okay, I go grocery shopping. The floor is cement. When I push the shopping cart, my hands get shocked. Does anyone know what this is?

Am I just a static electric person? I'm electrifying like Olivia Newton John? I am a walking energizer bunny? Seriously, someone explain the science behind this for me.

That happens to me too sisterwife. I shocked the dude at Costco checking my receipt. He said "it's the cart's fault". So there must be something afoot.

Cupcakes nottie!

I'm liking cakeballs these day.
I found this that might explain it and give tips on how to avoid it.
Help me not get painful static shocks to my hands at Costco please. - electricity yellingbadwordsinthecheeseaisle resolved | Ask MetaFilter

I end up on the phone with Comcast or Verizon support way too long.
We are laughing much. Call perfectly serious about a problem, then somehow we end up chatting. ? Laugh Laugh stop stop. you stop. I end up knowing the Grandkids names and cute things they did and making up weird wifi names, while waiting for reboot or something.

esh.

Wow. There was a lot of people having the same problem. Weird. But yes, I will be the nutter looking like an idiot doing crap to not get shocked.

I never got shocked by a shopping cart. Now I am looking at you avatar.

Random. We used to have a computer tech at one of the jobs I was at. When there was a problem and had to call her, she would ask us what type of material was in the underwear we have on. Static.

Appertantly silk underwear is the takedown of all computers, according to her.. Now I had to confess .... cotton.... Think? Dunno? Maybe silk ones? dunno.... Oh gods let me check.

No kiddin.

Help me out. I'm trying to find out the name of the woman Franken is hugging in group photo. I think she was briefly in 1990 SNL season. I remember some sketches she was in but haven't been able to identify her. Thanks. One of my favorite casts...David Spade was my favorite.
Melanie Hutsell. Loved her as Jan Brady.
