I've thought about getting into acting, and possibly directing. May not have mentioned it before.

You should do it. My daughter loves the theater and chorus classes she's taking. I'm pretty sure she will want to attend a school of the arts when she graduates high school.
A friend of mine started out doing set dressing......he now dresses actors. He's worked on several major movies and tv shows. He's 45 and can retire any time he wants to.
