I just brushed away a fruit fly, and it went into my eye.

This is not a poem.

I have a fruit fly in my eye. Good thing they are so little, I guess. I'm blinking, poor thing. I feel like a monster.

That was almost a really cool haiku NN......hope your eye is better ma'am.

Fruit fly in the eye,

Why are you in my eye? Why?

Broccoli and cheese.

:hmm:

It has been projected that by the year 2030 landline telephones will be gone. Does anyone miss hearing the dial tone before placing a call? I miss hearing it because it assured me that my call had ended. Now, with cell phones, there can be that nagging feeling that the person I was talking to can still hear me. Ever picked up to be sure? "You there?" :)
(Currently I'm without a phone.)
I still have a land line but it seems the only people who call me are telemarketers or scammers!

You are a monster! It somehow makes me think of the classic old spooky story where a villain gets an earwig in his ear. They can't go backwards (really?), so after weeks of excruciating pain it finally makes it thru his brain, and drops out the other ear. Relieved, the bad guy says he feels fine. Then the doctor tells him, it was a female, and it laid eggs! So count yer blessings ne pas nadine, you fruit fly murderer. What were you doing anyway, eating a plantain? No, it was a guava wasn't it! So transparently bourgeois. For me this is further proof that no good can come from consuming fruit.
