May the Schwartz be with you. Seriously, group reads are a blast...and since it is/will be open to all expect the unexpected. Once the group was well into a read, back when, there weren't many who joined it...but I imagine even for those not participating, they will want too...how'd the song go? If you build it, they will come? Cue the soundtrack.

Niro, if you would still like to join us by reading the story and answering a few of the posted questions (ahead), that would be fine. Check out the Nightmares and Dreamscapes Section. You will be able to see the discussion in the section the next day as we are typing (not doing Skype or Google group) currently. All are invited. :reading:

Sounds good to me! One of my favorite stories that I haven't read in a long time!
Well Sweet Pea, pull it out and give it a quick read so you will be able to discuss tomorrow. In the Nightmares and Dreamscapes Section, we've posted a few questions that we will use each time we review a story. This will help us compare between stories and learn a bit too 8)

If your gut says no then don't go. I've been to this type of book club before - people taking turns hosting the event with food & drink or booking tables at restaurants. Then discussion of book of the month which honestly felt like I was back in school. Too formal, too stiff, too uncomfortable. I didn't go the second time, it felt too much like homework.
Now I took over the organizing of another type of book club, one where we meet once a month and bring books to swap and sometimes give away and talk about what interesting books we've read since last time. We always meet in the city at a cafe, spend about two hours together and then everybody goes on their merry way. We are an eclectic group of readers so I got to discover some excellent books, and I recommended Mr King to all of them (some even listened to me, hehe and liked his work).
Perhaps this type of book club would work better for you, too. You could even start one of your own and advertise on FB or meetup.com.

Demeter, we have started a reading and discussion club right here on this very site. The first book we are reading is Nightmares and Dreamscapes. We are into the fourth story 'The Night Flier' and we meet every Friday evening at 9:30pm (EST, and 8:30Central) in the N+D section with the days date.

It is an open group, so feel free to join us. The only requirement is that you must have recently read the story and want to discuss it. The same questions are asked at each discussion so we can compare after a while. Also, it helps us to focus on the story not other stuff. Feel free to join us, the more the merrier.
