I got a recipe from Lina and will be making it for supper tomorrow night. Borscht (a soup) and will take the leftovers with me to the class (Downton Abbey).

My grandma made the best borscht soup!! My mom makes it now (my sweet gram passed away in '06). My grandparents were Germans from Russia. This is near and dear to my heart-I remember how my grandma used to add different things to the soup sometimes (meat, etc.). I was told later in life that this was commonplace in their youth-to utilize whatever ingredients were readily available. Nothing was wasted. These things are important to value, remember, and pass on to future generations.

Sounds like a great reading challenge. Brilliant, enjoy. I've not read a lot of Russian stuff, well none really.
It does not have to be Russian stuff for the reads. It is a lot of Olympic type things. Thats how russia fits in. They have a list of different things and you pick the ones you want to do. Must do 10 out of the 15 to reach the gold level.

Went to ther Downton Abbey tea party today. Wow they out did themselves. A butler in a tux poored our tea and waited on us. The had the three tiers set up like British times do. Several dressed up in those times. Had a trivia quiz. I felt pretty good they did a trivia quiz with 15 questions from 4 seasons. I only saw the 1st season and got 6 right. It was fun.

Blue, yellow, black, green, red - I had to Google the Olympic rings to see the colours - it looks like Hubby is technically the correct bracelet maker! (although son could have his on upside down) and @king family fan - you were just being artistic!
