I am a very avid fan of the King and have over 60 novels and have read them all. Go constant readers!!! I was rereading Skelton Crew and came across a reference to the band from Revival. In Word Processor Of The Gods several band members are named including Norm. I found this very entertaining maybe you will too.

Wow, great find! The Norm thing definitely seems related (which itself is crazy since this story was written so long before Revival), but in Word Processor of the Gods it says Norm drives a station wagon and in Revival he drives a VW Van. Also, the other kid Richard mentions is Davey, but I don't remember there being a Davey in the Chrome Roses...? Here's the full quote from Word Processor if anyone else wants to help dig in:

Richard turned off the word processor and went outside. The driveway was empty. The group’s lead guitarist, Norm somebody, drove a monstrous and somehow sinister old LTD station wagon in which the group carried their equipment to their infrequent gigs. It was not parked in the driveway now. Perhaps it was somewhere in the world, tooling down some highway or parked in the parking lot of some greasy hamburger hangout, and Norm was also somewhere in the world, as was Davey, the bassist, whose eyes were frighteningly blank and who wore a safety pin dangling from one earlobe, as was the drummer, who had no front teeth. They were somewhere in the world, somewhere, but not here, because Seth wasn’t here, Seth had never been here.
