Paul Revere of Paul Revere and the Raiders is dead at 76.

We lost another one today. Used to love to see him and his band every spring at Busch Gardens.

sad. I remember a few of their songs, of course. They were in an old show Where the Action is ("Ob baby, come on, let me show you where the action is," repeat) with some wild clothes, like Patrick Henry meets Liberace. (One of the former band members, Mark Lindsay, went solo, and Grandma had such a crush on him. She was 15 or 16 at the time.) It was a fun and enduring presence.

I've always loved Paul Revere and the Raiders. Their music was good and it was fun to watch clips of them performing-- they projected lots of energy and looked like they were genuinely having fun. Rest in Peace Paul.
