Blunt- here is the full episode. Laughter to replace tears.

After Big Bang Theory, which we both like, and Mom, which Grandma and sometimes I like, it was 8:00 p.m., and we were out of TV watching for the evening until 9:00, which has a show that she likes.
.
I said, "Do you trust me?" Without a second's hesitation, which is one of the reasons I love her, she says, "Sure!" So I turned off the TV and clicked on Spideyman's link.

It goes on for a while, but we were laughing, and crying, we took breaks, and Grandma said that her stomach hurt from laughing but she didn't want to stop, and at 9:00 I paused and said, "Your show's about to start. Shall we go to it?" And she said, "No! I want to keep watching this," so we did.

Here's the genius of Robin Williams. He could take something - a comment, a prop, an idea - and spit out something, impromptu, that a team of writers, working all day, could come up with half of, and call it a good day.

There is talent. And there is brilliance. And there is transcendence.

Mr. Williams was transcendent. He was a genius that enabled him to go where no one else did. Or even could.

We're engulfed in laughter. And pure awe.

I don't know how many follow Amanda Palmer, but all day yesterday she linked and posted a special tribute to Mr. Williams. There are a few on her blog, which I'll link, but there were so many more on Twitter, people from all over the world, that didn't make it on the blog. It was touching, and sad, and… no words. I don't think a celebrity's death has ever affected me this much.

Oh captain, My captain…

O’ Captain! My Captain! The official website of Amanda ****ing Palmer. Yes it is - Amanda Palmer

Being gay myself, what I loved about his performance in The Birdcage is that he didn't camp it up. He played man who just happened to be gay. I respected him for that.
...and that's what I love about men being openly gay, and accepting of the themselves...the whole flamboyant swishing stereotype is a terrible one, and I loathe those men who find it necessary...just be yourself, not a caricature....

We have this game (and the movie) at home... it was really hard seeing the sadness in my lil boy's eyes when he realised that Mrs. Doubtfire was also Alan in Jumanji. We play this game often... usually after watching the movie.
It's been hard on my kids, too. They loved him as Genie, and in Happy Feet, they've worn out Jumanji. My 12 year old just kept asking Why? But why? It opened up a talk, but oh so hard. The two younger ones recognized his voice, not so much his face. But, yes the young fans are everywhere and hurting too.

I have a dear friend, and that is "himself". He is flamboyant and swishy and has been since he was little. I love him and the fact that he is himself. He does not dress frilly or in pink, but since he was about 4 he was a major drama Queen. Lol

And, of course, in The Birdcage, Nathan Lane is over the top. (More than my friend.)

There is, I am sorry to say, a pix taken of Mr. Williams in the morgue circulating round the net.:facepalm_smiley:

It may or may not be an actual picture.

Pictures were being posted to Zelda, and some were just doctored photos.

~~~~~
Excuse me while I climb up on my soapbox.
Anyone who clicks to look at those pictures (whether they are real or not) is as evil as the people posting them. If there are no views, there would be no reason to do it.
I often see people post clips and they comment about how evil it is, why would anyone do this, etc. they do it because some sites will pay the person who uploads if there are enough views.
If you see someone post the links, report it. Do not click, do not share.
this is a comment to everyone. I am NOT saying Haunted viewed them or even saw where they were linked to.
