It is heartbreaking that so many out there think life is cheap.
Meaning a crime in Florida was not committed by "Florida Man"?
I have used that airport several times. It's extra unsettling when these things happen at places you've been.
From what I read, the gun was in the gunman's checked baggage and he opened fire in the baggage claim area so he could have been from somewhere other than Florida.
I'm afraid not.
All heartfelt sympathies and shared sorrows to the wounded, the families of the dead, and all affected by this tragedy.
The horrible thing is that you are not surprised.
He was not Canadian, I do not believe.

Very sad. My daughter had left the airport about an hour before this happen. They was scary.
Geez man. My family uses that airport all the time when they have to visit. I'm sending out positive vibes to the injured and their families right now. So sad.
The actual shooting was followed by two false alarms in which people ran from the airport hysterical.
Why was a person being treated for mental health issues (specifically PTSD) and has been physically violent/threatening allowed to have a gun? And why was he allowed to board a plain with both the gun and the bullets? Even if they were in a suitcase. Shouldn't they be required to be checked in specifically as guns and ammunition?
