isn't there something in our universe that is unexplainable? I'm remembering something posted here years back...as I recall it had to do with...maybe something to do with the 'start' of the universe, big bang type stuff...as in particles or substances some place in the universe they haven't figured out as yet...maybe they don't "do" anything...don't recall exactly sorry.

and then there's that phenomenon whereby some things react differently when observed. dunno what the official word for that is, but it is a curiosity
There's no way to know what existed before the big bang simply because nothing that existed before the big bang survived the event. Additionally, there is no way to discover what is within a black hole since anything sent through (even if it survived) would never be able to return nor send data.

I wish I could remember exactly what it is that this other member posted about. He is no longer active and his name just came to me...one of Karamazov's sons. And that's all I have now would have to search for the right name. And this...element...for lack of a better word...as he explained it...does not make sense. Yeah, and I don't make sense...but that is how I remember it. Perhaps it is some...thing...that as yet has had no defined purpose?

I think you might be referring to wave-particle duality. It is a theory that proposes that all matter exhibits the properties of not only particles, which have mass, but also waves, which transfer energy, and it has some really funky effects in the realm of quantum physics.

I'm reading up on your question, Neese. I suggest you read what I'm reading as well, in order for you to best get your answer...
Bubble bath - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Bathing - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Bath salts - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I use bath bombs too, plus I make my own using ingredients I find at VitaHealth or Shoppers Drug Mart. The ones you can buy at Lush are very nice but also quite expensive.

But since this is the Science thread I could always just post my bath bomb recipe!
Anybody want to see it?

How To: Make Bath Bombs

This is very similar to the recipe I got from the library but I use witch hazel in a spray bottle to dampen the dry ingredients :m_petals:

Quantum Theory on the observed one.

Smerdyakov is/was the member's moniker...the stinking son. Heh! He is/was smart as a whip, sharp as a tack, the son of a doctor I believe. He is/was pre-med I believe, had a pic on his page of him and a skeleton and he wrote/writes poetry. I dunno how much of the old board if any is there on the shelf somewhere...but like his namesake he liked to discuss God or the lack thereof...evolution or the lack thereof. Was it in that thread What is God to you? that bluey lunger started? Or maybe in a related thread in Social Groups? The way I understand it and remember it...this...matter...is in space. He tried to explain it to me and I thought it was fascinating that there is...according to my understanding...something...some matter or something that is as yet unexplained. Matter might be the wrong word for it. But my imagination saw places in the universe...perhaps they are unaffected by things. There is/was sense that these things are waiting...that their use...their meaning or reason for being...is not understood. But that quantum physics part of the equation sounds familiar. smerdyakov you around?

Fibonacci numbers is cool to me too.

Ice is the lightest mineral.

Cosmos is supplying some fascinating things. While it takes 8 minutes or so for the sun's light to reach the earth, the photos from the sun's fusion core have taken 10 million years to get to the surface and be freed to space. We are seeing with 10 million year old light.

He wasn't talking about Dark Matter or Dark Energy, was he?
