Apparently it was done in 2012 when they transformed the nave by covering it with grass, for a "Rose Dinner".
I think i have found it. It is Wakefield Cathedral!! Rather close to York so it wasnt a bad guess.
Wakefield cathedral. We're about 10 miles south of Leeds and 30 miles southwest of York. It's beautiful inside. I'll have to get some photos of that.

...speaks softly, is a handsome feller, he can cook...he's quite the catch, and he's crabby in the AM just like me....
He reminds me of Andy Stewart who did the Hogmanay show on the BBC every New Years Eve.
