View attachment 2131 What the hell. Posed, so silly-looking. I need to get another one done, but LORD, I hate pictures.
Oh hey good lookin'! So nice to finally meet you!

My arms are too short for a selfie. Plus I might embarrass the people I work for with my crude language and weird ideas (I work for the Catholic church). Let's just say - I'm the total opposite of my avatar.

Why thankee :) This is from a couple of years ago--I dragged my feet until the publisher started making threats (lol). I'm not quite as round now (but this is still less than when I met Ms. Mod & MStay--I look at that picture now and cringe :p) and I have a better haircut HA! It's about time that they start making noises for something recent, so maybe this summer I'll have a new one.

Church related: the reason I use a pseudonym when I write is because of church bulletins :) For a while there, BH and I were in EVERYTHING (I was pres if CCW, he was pres of Men's Club, etc), and our home # and addy were in a lot of bulletins (as contact people, etc.). When I was getting ready to publish my first book, if you Googled my name, you had it all. My real name is completely unique, as far as I know, as was my maiden name (damned foreign family names--lol). Didn't seem fair to my family to expose them to potential crazies. Now we've pulled back and stuff has dropped off Google (or at least is far back), thank goodness. Can't change the name, though.

And you have NOTHING on me for language and weird ideas. Birds of a feather, and all that :D

Ditto--nice pic, skimom. I suspected it was an author photo as it does have the author photo vibe. No offense intended as I'm sure you know what I mean! ;-D

Yup: "Now lean one shoulder forward in an absolutely unnatural pose... Yes, now torque your neck until it feels like you're trying to force yourself into giraffe evolution...Now hold that for the next half hour..." LOL

I should be grateful, though. That morning was horrible--woke up too late to make the makeup appointment (and you can imagine how much I was anticipating THAT *eyeroll*), almost killed myself falling down the stairs after stepping on Legos (damn Swedes and their addictive toys), forgot it was a festival day and had to park BLOCKS away on a scorching July day. I looked approximately like Phyllis Diller when I got there (but fatter). Photog was approximately Dumbledore-level magician good. :)

In one of Margaret Atwood's books she had the main character give a photo of her maiden aunt to the publisher when they requested a photo - that put them off her scent! (Dang - cannot recall which one it was now - I read her books many years ago).

p.s. you look great! (for an author photo ha ha - no seriously)

I am not very photogenic so maybe they will ban cameras this summer in Ohio or else put the "ugly filter" on for me. We had photo techs in the military who were always joking about that one.

Holy Cr*p! - that is a big picture! (Can a moderator make it a thumbnail for me please? I tried to resize it on-line) Moderator - HELP!
