Is it a hybrid?

Sorta. It was a sport-tourer, kind of a BMW emulation. I had it at freakin'-insane speed once on a lonely straightaway (okay, maybe twice), and it had more to spare, but I gave up. Shaft drive, monoshock rear, sport frame. Electric windshield (!!!). V-4 engine. Disc brakes all around. Readout that gave you your gas mileage at a given time. The saddlebags were quick-detach and had suitcase handles. It was one sweet ride.

Edited to add to GG's comment: I believe it actually was manufactured at Honda's Ohio plant.

You need a bumper sticker that says my other car is a tank

Heck, when I was on that thing, I didn't even like to acknowledge that I had vehicles with four wheels.

Grandma and me, out for a ride, chatting with friends at a coffeeshop.

She good-naturedly accuses me of preferring brunettes. So naturally, every time there's a hot blonde, I'll say, "See? I'm crushing on her. You're safe." Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting gives me grounds for a counter-argument anyway (although I think it's fairly obvious that Ms. C-S is not really blonde).

Grandma really is a natural blonde with the color you see there - at least up until the last couple years. Now I give it a blonde boost every few weeks. She says she wouldn't mind it coming in white, but she's not okay with steel gray.

Like Grandpa I was also a bit of an adrenaline junkie in my younger days.
Back in the 1980's I got addicted to "Banger Racing", which is contact Motor Sport. Sixteen laps around a quarter mile oval, no holds barred part (apart from hitting the drivers door which means instant disqualification). The aim to wreck the opposition, and cross the line first to win.
My race number was 90, and I raced with the Pirates team.
Here's a shot of me in action....
Adrenaline 800.jpg Terrific fun, and I've never felt so alive as I did behind that wheel!
Adrenaline High 800.jpg
and another in the Pits several heats later, well battered but victorious!

...now THAT'S sweet!.....

Yes, it could be very "sweet"...

..and a hell of an adrenaline rush... but it could also be quite a bitter experience at times, depending on how your luck was running.
I prepared my own race cars while still in full time employment, so it took about two weeks of evening and weekend work to turn a road car into a racer.
When raced that car might be written off in the first five minutes of a meeting, if your were in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Meaning it would be another two weeks, and a lot of hard work before the next opportunity for an adrenaline fix!:blue:
If lucky, a car could last a couple of meetings, which is about 10/12 races.:cheerful:
I competed for 4 years, and built 21 cars in that time.

....it's gotta be for the rush, coz around here the purses don't even come close to covering your hard wrenching...
