I have now read "Carrie," "Salem's Lot" and "The Shining" in that order. I'm getting ready for my next one. I am torn between "The Stand" or whether, having just read "The Shining," I should read "Doctor Sleep." Any and all thoughts are greatly appreciated. Note I had to post this under the comment about skiing because I can't figure out how to start my own unique post. Thanks!

Does anyone recall the beginning to this thread? It's hilarious and deserves another visit. I haven't been on the site regularly for years, and as this was hugely popular I checked out the origins of it earlier today.

I just think it's awesome that the OP Tara McFarlane--an obvious troll--could create such a positive sense of community and manage to bring us all together.

Well done Tara! Kudos! We miss you!

We should include her on the MIA thread for missing members. Come on guys, she's done a lot for us.

Hey!

Yeah, ol' Tara was a hoot.

A bunch of people tried to explain that we are a large community that like hanging with each other but she just kept on. We took the thread and made it a happy, nonsensical place. We also took her *sully* word and we sully stuff all over the board. Ha!

Have a good one!
